Sometimes you need to just get out there and create. Just me, my camera, and endless possibilities. An opportunity to do things just because I want to and for no other reason. It's even better when you have other people you're doing this with. This styled shoot made me feel like I was on a creative high for weeks. While we were shooting, the collaborative process between Ceann and myself was really inspiring. She had a look/style she wanted communicated, and it was my job to communicate it and show off her work. This collaboration and process brought me so much joy and passion. I am very happy and excited that I am doing more of these projects this year. I now realize I need personal projects to keep me going. Just to get it out of my system. To create, just because I feel like I was made to do nothing else.
Meet the Artist: Ceann Cherry
I met Ceann doing makeup at a wedding she was doing hair at last fall. This was one of the last weddings I did makeup for before I stopped offering it and around this time I was starting to look for people to do hair/makeup for my photography business. I knew pretty quickly I wanted to work with her and bring her onto my team. Ceann Cherry is a cut/color stylist in a salon as well as an on-site hair stylist and makeup artist, and a fellow big-dreamer. Here's some facts about this babe and her career thus far.
- Attended the Glen Dow Academy in Spokane, Washington for beauty school
- Had advanced training post beauty school for 9 months
- Blonde hair and balayage are her favorite coloring techniques
- Worked at five different salons in various areas
I'm very excited to be partnering with her to create beautiful things and serve the clients that we love.
