70's Disco Lovefest Wedding Inspo at Fruitcraft in Hillcrest, San Diego!

We were so stoked at this was published in Green Wedding Shoes - check it out!

Styled shoots are basically adult playdates for creatives in the wedding industry - and when I think back about my last year, this shoot was a HUGE highlight. I can’t believe I haven’t blogged my favorites from this shoot yet!! It’s some of my favorite images of mine and I am so proud of them. The planner/coordinator/designer Jes of Plan Prep Party wrote a BEAUTIFUL description of this shoot, much better than any words I could come up with, so I’m including it below. Enjoy!

“Nestled in San Diego’s vibrant + fabulous Hillcrest neighborhood -- FruitCraft is a beautiful celebration space that has creatively taken craft alcohol to a whole new level by fermenting (and distilling) all types of fruit. Taylor and Naomi’s intimate disco lovefest was a wedding full of true-love, laughter and adventure. With a citrusy retro color palette and an eclectic mix of modern and vintage design elements, there is truly nothing sweeter than these two brides celebrating their love for eachother!

Shades of yellow make a prominent appearance throughout this 1970’s inspired wedding day; along with an amazing array of vintage stoneware, brass candle holders, a boho lounge and of course disco balls.  From the hand-wrapped rope ceremony installation to the wildly feminine and textured ombre blooms across the tablescape -- every element was selected to create a purposeful collection for this most special day.

Proving two brides are better than one, Taylor and Naomi’s wedding day joy was captured in a monumental explosion of colored smoke on the rooftop with the Hillcrest Pride Flag standing tall behind them. While the elated brides were surrounded by a rainbow cloud, the streets below erupted in cheering and car horns, celebrating the beautifully incredible message that Love is Love.

The theme of ‘Better Together’ not only radiated from the brides -- but was showcased by a team of all-female wedding pros creating magic behind the lens.”
