Wedding at The Wood Shed by Booze Brothers

The Wood Shed by Booze Brothers if forever one of my favorite San Diego venues! I’m breaking all sorts of ‘rules’ by publishing so many blog posts from the same venue, but every wedding I shoot at The Wood Shed becomes one of my new favorite weddings and I can’t not share this one. Julie and Steven’s wedding day was so sweet and such a blast! I have loved working with these two and have so much fun every time I’m around them. Their joy and energy is contagious!

Tell me about how you met and a bit of your story! Whatever you want to share.
Julie:
Steven and I met through a mutual friend almost 10 years ago! His mom was out of town and he was having some friends over and my friend Sonia and I scored an invite. Woo-hoo!. Naturally Steven didn’t even talk to me that night. But I thought he was so CUTE, as fate would have it when leaving his house our friend backed into my friend Sonia’s car forcing Steven to come out and we finally talked. The rest is history we’ve been talking ever since, now he’s stuck with me forever

What did you love about your wedding location(s)/venue(s)?
Julie:
We loved our venue from the moment we walked in, the live plants and beautiful wood details. I loved the romantic feel of the venue after the sun went down.

What memory from your wedding do you remember the most strongly?
Julie: Our ceremony, every detail of that is still so special to us. Our songs will come on our playlist and we just start talking about how perfect it all was.

Funniest (or best) moment on your wedding day? Tell me all about it!
Julie: Did you see Steven’s dance moves? AMAZING! It was no secret to me of course but I loved that everyone else got to see his moves. We had so many guest comment on his dancing.

Did you have a favorite part of wedding planning?
Julie: We honestly had the best vendors and we were so lucky to of found them! So just having our vision come together was probably our favorite part.

Was it hard selecting vendors you love? Anything about the vendor process you want to share?
Julie: I like to think Steven and I both just have a good read on people, so when it came down to deciding on vendors we really went with our gut. We choose the vendors that we knew would work best with our personalities.

What advice would you give to future couples who are getting married?
 Julie:
Try and enjoy the process, it comes and goes so fast that I think at times you can get caught up and forget to enjoy the ride. Also its YOUR DAY so do what makes you happy when it comes to your day.
